Course SyllabusComputer LabsUnless you are taking this course on the Internet, you have paid a small lab fee which covers a small portion of the costs of running the computer lab. Within 48 hours of registering for the lab, your CNS lab account should be set up. The account is based on information supplied by the UVU registration system. Your login name is your UV ID. Your default password is your birthdate in MMDDYY format. Example:
Login Name: 10001234
The lab for this course is located in room 615b on the 6th level of the Computer Sciences and Engineering Building. Lab hours are posted on the UVU Computer lab web site at http://support.tc.uvu.edu/ The lab is not responsible for network hard disk failure, so you will want to store backups of your assignments on removable media such as a usb drive. Assignments for this course require Microsoft's Visual C# Express and Visual C++ Express development environments. These are both free downloads from Microsoft. Please note that you may use other compilers at home if you choose to. However, your instructor may not be able to answer questions regarding the use of another compiler. If you use another compiler, it is your responsibility to ensure that your executable runs on the machines in the lab. If they do not run, you will not receive full credit for your assignment. | |
